About Us

Smiley Creek Lodge is located near the headwaters of the Salmon River in Central Idaho. We are at the top of the Sawtooth Basin, 37 miles north of world-famous Ketchum / Sun Valley and 23 miles South of Stanley, Idaho. We offer a variety of services for those enjoying the rugged beauty of this special place in the mountains of central Idaho. Smiley Creek Lodge takes the health and safety of our guests and our employees very seriously. We have taken several precautions to try and reduce the risk of exposure to the Novel Coronavirus (Covid 19). Our servers, milkshake makers and desk employees will be wearing masks. We strongly encourage guests to wear masks as well when they are not actively eating. We are encouraging guests to dine with us on our deck or on tables on our lawn. We will be taking milkshake orders and payment for gasoline sales out in front of the Smiley Creek Lodge to try to reduce crowding in the Ice Cream Parlor. We will be limiting guests in our store to 10 people. We are sanitizing surfaces on a schedule and enforcing hand washing guidelines. We thank you for your understanding about these changes, and we know that we will all get through this together.
