Smiley Creek Lodge is starting to hire for the Summer 2010 Season

Come spend this summer working in the beautiful Sawtooth Valley of Central Idaho. Days here begin with majestic views and end with great company.  If you love the mountains and all the amazing recreation they contain then you should fully enjoy working at Smiley Creek Lodge.  Your days off can be filled with, hiking, biking, climbing, camping, fishing and so much more.  We are looking for dynamic, positive and motivated people to fill the below openings for the Summer 2010 season.

Smiley Creek Lodge

We are seeking:

Front Desk Representatives:

The responsibilities for this department include: great guest service, closing paper-work, accurate money handling, store restocking, reservations and lodging point-of-contact and general support of café and parlor/deli.

Milk Shake & Sandwich Maker  (for our deli/ice cream parlor)

The responsibilities for this department include: great guest service, closing paperwork, accurate money handling, crafting deli sandwiches, producing tons of milkshakes, prep for department and general support of lodge.

Experienced Servers for our Busy Restaurant

The responsibilities for this department include: great guest service, food and beverage knowledge, since of urgency, closing paperwork, accurate money handling, café cleaning and side work, kitchen and general lodge support.

Experienced Line Cooks

The responsibilities for this department include: the desire to please every guest, the ability to handle a line of tickets, understanding of whole-food cooking, since of urgency, willingness to learn and cook items from burgers and fries to local, delicious specials, kitchen clean-up, as well as server and general lodge support.

Prep Cooks

The responsibilities for this department include:the desire to keep a clean kitchen and work well with others, chop, bake, slice and cook needed items, since of urgency, willingness to learn, server and general lodge support.

Dishwashers

The responsibilities for this department include: the desire to keep a clean kitchen and work well with others, since of urgency, server and general lodge support.

Housekeeper/Dishwasher

The responsibilities for this department include: above dishwashing responsibility, as well as attention to detail, working with head-housekeeper and providing them with the support they need, laundry, lodge room cleaning, as well as general lodge support.

Pay is based on experience.  Housing or RV site is supplied for full-time employees.  A monthly utility fee and security deposit will be required.  One employee meal is included per shift, with a $12.50 maximum value.  Other perks will be discussed upon hire.

The opportunities for outdoor recreation in the Sawtooth Valley are endless. In winter, backcountry skiers, snowshoers, snowmobilers and nordic skiers of all abilities can find a variety of fun and beautiful terrain. Beginning in early spring there are numerous opportunities for fishing, hunting, hiking, mountain biking road biking, wildlife viewing, photography, and touring nearby western historical sites. You may just enjoy taking a relaxing drive up Highway 75 through the spectacular scenery.
