Monday February 1st from 10 am- 7pm

Spend the day skiing one of the hidden gems of the central Idaho Nordic trail network. Alturas Lake Ski trail winds 16 km along Alturas Lake Creek and through the meadows to Alturas Lake. The trail is groomed for skating and classic and features fantastic views of the Sawtooth Mountains.
Alturas Lake Ski Trail is part of the 200 km trails challenge.
After a great day of skiing, come to Smiley Creek Lodge for a Swiss style apres ski buffet between 3 pm and 7 pm. Originally this event was planned to end at 6pm, but we have extended to 7pm, so everyone can come for a ski and mingle after work. Can’t wait to see you all there!

Potato Pancakes Topped with Zurich Style Cut Beef
Vackerin Mont Cheese, Poached Pears and Candied Hazelnuts on Toast Points
Croute au Formage served with Handmade Bread and Vegetables (Fondue)
Mini Churer Meat Pies
Swiss Alpine Gingerbreads
Engadine Nut Cake
$17.00 includes one drink with your meal.
Reservations recommended for apres ski.
Small Grooming donation recommended for the day of skiing.

Smiley Creek Lodge and Alturas Lake Ski Trail are 37 miles and 40 miles North of Ketchum/ Sun Valley on Highway 75.

The opportunities for outdoor recreation in the Sawtooth Valley are endless. In winter, backcountry skiers, snowshoers, snowmobilers and nordic skiers of all abilities can find a variety of fun and beautiful terrain. Beginning in early spring there are numerous opportunities for fishing, hunting, hiking, mountain biking road biking, wildlife viewing, photography, and touring nearby western historical sites. You may just enjoy taking a relaxing drive up Highway 75 through the spectacular scenery.
